Damate to expand duck meat production
18 February 2021
Damate, a Russia-based agroholding, wants to increase commercial flock on its duck farm in the Rostov region from 273,000 heads to 1 million heads in 2021. Formerly owned by bankrupt agroholding Donstar, the facility was leased and relaunched by Damate in late 2020. In 2021, the farm plans to produce 13,000 tonnes of duck meat. After reaching full capacity, the farm's annual output is expected to reach 16,000 tonnes of duck meat in slaughter weight.
