Damate to invest $ 86.5 million in a new plant

Damate agroholding has begun the construction of a turkey meat processing plant in the Penza region of Russia. The production capacity of the plant is expected to reach 150 tonnes of sausages per day, and the amount of investment equals to RUB 5.7 billion ($ 86.5 million). Damate group is the largest producer of turkey meat in Russia, with a market share of 27% and a production capacity of 62,000 tonnes of meat in slaughter weight per year. By 2020, the holding plans to increase the total production to 155,000 tonnes per year.
