Damate to purchase turkey hatching eggs from Aviagen Group

Damate, Russia’s largest producer of turkey meat, arranged supply of turkey hatching eggs with a Russia-based subsidiary of a British Aviagen Group. For now, Damate received a first batch in the amount of 33,800 eggs. By the end of the year, the company plans to purchase 500,000 eggs from Aviagen in total. Supplies will increase to amount to 8.5 million eggs in 2020. With these arrangements, Damate wants to reduce both dependence on imported hatching eggs and losses due to long-distance transportation from abroad.
