EkoNiva to invest $ 135 million in business development

Sibirskaya Niva, a subsidiary of the EkoNiva agroholding, the largest Russian milk producer, is launching the construction of two cattle breeding farms in the Novosibirsk region of Russia. The total worth of investment project is RUB 9 billion ($ 135 million). The total capacity of each farm will reach 3,500 forage cows while the total production will amount to about 160 tonnes per day. The two farms will operate 80,000 hectares, formerly owned by the Raduga holding.

Sibirskaya Niva has been operating 62,000 hectares in the Novosibirsk region since 2006. In 2018, the cattle livestock of the subsidiary amounted to 17,700 animals.

EkoNiva continues investing in its business development. At the beginning of 2019, the company launched four livestock farms in the Voronezh region of Russia. The total volume of investment amounted to RUB 10 billion ($ 150 million). The total capacity of each farm is 2,800 cows. By 2021, EkoNiva plans to launch a cheese factory. The total volume of investments is expected to reach RUB 21 billion ($ 316 million).
