EkoNiva to invest in organic milk

EkoNiva, the largest Russian producer of raw milk, plans to build dairy farms in the Kaluga and Voronezh regions of Russia. In the Kaluga region, the agroholding will construct an organic dairy farm on the base of the existing enterprise Savinskaya Niva. The production capacity of the farm will reach 5-10 tonnes of raw milk per day. In the Voronezh region, EkoNiva intends to build two organic dairy farms for 1,000 cows each. The expected volume of production on each farm is 25 tonnes of milk per day. This year EkoNiva continues increasing its milk production capacities. The company’s total production in January-September 2018 amounted to 351,000 tonnes while milk yields reached 1,400 tonnes per day. By the end of 2018, EkoNiva plans to complete the construction of new 14 dairy farms for 45,000 heads of cattle.
