Goodvalley posted net profit of $9.92 million in Q1 2020

Goodvalley, a large-scale Danish crop and pig producer with operations in Ukraine, Poland, and Russia, reported net profit of $ 9.92 million in Q1 2020, as compared to net loss of $0.3 million in Q1 2019. Revenue rose 23.9% to $60 million, while adjusted EBITDA increased 32.5% to $19.69 million within the same period of time.
Meanwhile, Goodvalley Ukraine raised its revenue 46% to $ 16.23 million in Q1 2020, as compared to Q1 2019. Adjusted EBITDA grew 280% to $6.76 million within the same period. The key drivers behind the company’s financial results improvement were sales growth, as well as rising prices for pigs. Ukrainian segment accounted for 27% of Goodvalley’s revenue in Q1 2020.
