Kuban agroholding to invest in cattle breeding

Kuban agroholding, part of Basic Element business group, plans to launch a cattle breeding center in the Krasnodar region of Russia by 2022. The investments are projected to amount to RUB 1.7 billion ($ 25.8 million). The center will be designed for 1,200 cows with a potential average yield of up to 12,000 kg of milk per year. The center plans to use the embryo transfer method for receiving 3,000 embryos and 1,000 heifers per year. By 2030, Kuban agroholding intends to expand milk production to 2 million tonnes per year, which is almost twice the current volume.
