MHP: Employees to be engaged in creative work while analytics to be performed by computers

17 January 2019

Head of human resource management department at the Ukraine-based agroholding MHP Ksenia Prozhogina summarized the results of the company’s staff policy in 2018 and shared the plans for 2019 in her interview to Latifundist.com. Last year, the company succeeded in implementing digital consulting projects called MHP Accelerator and How to Startup for individuals who want to launch their own agribusinesses. Also, the programs of staff education have been modified. The company established the development center that provides support to each employee to improve his or her professional competencies efficiently and effectively.

In addition, MHP continues attracting young professionals to its team. The number of students employed by the agroholding through the use of digital platforms within the program MHP Start rose twice last year compared to 2017 and amounted to 300 persons. Besides, MHP launched a new social project aiming at employing young people who grew up in care homes. The project foresees the support, education, accommodation and integration of such employees into the society along with the start of their professional career at MHP.

2019 will be the year of further organizational improvements. In particular, it is planned to reduce the number of management levels between the CEO and the peripheral staff. The aim is to have maximum three levels in-between. Additionally, the process of digitalizing of human resource management will continue. “We expect our employees to be engaged in creative work, while analytical activities should be performed by computers“, said Prozhogina. Also, MHP intends to launch the corporate mentoring program in 2019.
