Miratorg to build two sheep farms

Miratorg, a Russia-based agroholding, plans to launch lamb production in the Tula region of Russia. The first sheep farm will be constructed by October 2019, while the second farm is to be launched in 2020. The total volume of investments is RUB 6 billion ($ 92.4 million). The annual production capacity of two farms will reach 134,000 sheep or 6.600 tonnes of lamb in live weight. Back in 2018, Miratorg entered the market for lamb meat by launching its first lamb farm in the Kursk region of Russia, designed for 34,000 animals.
