Net profit of SLC Agrícola increased

The Brazilian agricultural company SLC Agrícola obtained a net profit of R$ 168.2 million (about $ 38 million) in the second quarter 2018, an increase of 115.1% and more than double the R$ 78.2 million (about $ 17.7) net profit in the year-over-year comparison. In the first quarter 2018, the company's net profit was also more than twice higher than that of the first quarter 2017. Net income in the second quarter 2018 grew 35.4%, to R$ 464.4 million (about $ 104.9 million). At the same time, SLC Agricola is in an ongoing conflict with trucking companies that may affect the company’s future soybean exports.
