Promagro acquired 30,000 ha from Krasnodarzernoprodukt

Promagro, a Russia-based vertically integrated agroholding, has signed a deal with Krasnodarzernoprodukt on the acquisition of the Krasnenskaya agricultural enterprise. Krasnenskaya operates 30,000 hectares of farmland in the Belgorod region of Russia. With this acquisition Promagro expects to increase own production of feedstuffs for its pig farms up to 70% of the total amount needed. The estimated worth of the deal is $ 33.5 million (RUB 2.4 billion). Promagro operates three pig farms with a total production capacity of 60,000 tonnes in dressed weight per year, a meat processing plant and a feed mill.
