Steppe: apple production up 43%

Steppe Agroholding, Russia’s large-scale crop, raw milk, and horticulture producer, reports to have harvested 30,000 tonnes of apples this year, a 43%-increase as compared to the previous year. The key drivers behind output growth were favorable weather conditions and improving fruit trees nutrition. Steppe operates 751 hectares of apple gardens has one-time fruit storage capacity of 23,000 tonnes.
